Activating the Profinet interface on the robot

This article describes the Profinet interface of the HORST. This article refers to all commercially available robots that have been supplied with a Profinet-capable CONTROL control unit.

1. settings CONTROL

To activate the Profinet interface, a configuration within the CONTROL control unit is required. To carry out the configuration, you need a keypad connected to the CONTROL control unit.

The following is a step-by-step guide to activating the interface. Please ensure that all the following steps are carried out in the correct order.

1. Highly Optimized Robotic Systems Technology start via CONTROL
2. Customize software configuration:
   1. Software horstFX exit (do not shut down CONTROL)
   2. Key combination ALT+F3
   3. Enter mousepad in the search field and start
3. CTRL+O then CTRL+L and in the already preselected address bar
   

   /home/fruitcore/fruitcore/config/config.properties 

   Enter the information and confirm by pressing Enter.
4. At the end, add a line with the content:
   

   configuration.isEnabled=true

If the entry profinet.configuration.isEnabled= already exists, change its value to true.

1. Click on Robot-UI to restart horstFX

The configuration is now complete and the PLC can now be set up
