Signal description for HORST - injection moulding machine communication
For signal transmission, the exact pin assignment on the HORST side and injection moulding machine (SGM) side is described in the following Table 1 and Table 2.
On the HORST side, these can be controlled directly via the digital inputs and outputs. Some of the safety signals must still be configured in the horstFX software so that they receive the respective safety function. These signals are labelled with a note in the table. The configuration in horstFX is described in chapter 5

Safety input signals for HORST
The configuration of safety inputs is described in the following illustration.

If the internal OSSD test signal is used, meaning if the safety signal TA/TB is connected to terminal X4, then the checkbox for this must be enabled (Yes). In this case, the low-pass filter is not necessary to avoid filtering out the signal.

Safety output signals for HORST
The configuration of safety outputs is described in the following illustration.
Configuring safety output as an emergency stop in horstFX
After correctly assigning the inputs and outputs, it is essential to save the configuration. This step ensures that the settings are transferred to the control system and become active.
Naming of inputs and outputs
Starting from the software version horstFX 2021.10, it is now possible to name the inputs and outputs in horstFX to directly match the labels of the EUROMAP interface.
